Leveling a coating asks two opposite things of a towel. It needs enough bite to pull the residue off cleanly, and it needs to be soft and lint-free enough that it doesn't leave anything behind on fresh paint. Most towels are good at one or the other.

The Edgeless Pearl's closed-loop pearl weave is what splits the difference. The closed loops don't shed, so you're not picking lint out of a curing coating, and the pearl texture gives you the grab you need on that slight resistance you're feeling for during removal. No tags and no stitched edge means nothing hard ever touches the paint, which also makes it safe on glass and mirrors.

It's made on Karl Mayer equipment, the German machinery most of the good microfiber in this industry comes off of.

The honest part about coating towels

Once a towel has been used on a car you're ceramic coating, it's done. That's not a knock on the towel. It's what the chemistry does: the coating hardens in the fibers, and there's no detergent that brings it back. Toss them when the job is over.

The good news is that it doesn't take many. Two towels will carry you through most of a vehicle, one to remove and one to level. So a 12-pack isn't a single job's worth of supplies, it's several cars' worth.

What you don't want is to run short partway through and reach for one you've already used. That's how high spots and streaks happen. Keep a fresh stack on the bench.
