Cruise - Matte Interior Detailer

Cruise is a water-based, silicone-free matte interior detailer that cleans and protects in one pass. It lifts dust, fingerprints and light grime off the dash, door panels, vinyl and leather, then leaves a dry, matte finish. Nothing slick, nothing shiny, just the surface looking the way it did when the car was new.

Silicone-free is the part that pays off a week later. There's no residue building up on the plastic, so the dash you wiped on Sunday isn't the first thing collecting dust again by Wednesday.

The UV guard is the long game. Dashboards fade, then they crack, and the sun through the windshield is what does it. Every wipe down with Cruise leaves a layer of UV protection between the plastic and the light, so the maintenance you're already doing is also the protection.

The one exception: anti-glare screen coatings. Cruise is safe on a standard navigation screen, but not on an anti-glare coating applied over one. If you're not sure which you've got, check before you spray.

One more thing worth knowing: Cruise carries the same Sandalwood scent as Shine Scents Cruisin', so the two work together instead of fighting each other in the cabin.

16 oz. or gallon? Cruise is ready to use, no mixing. The 16 oz. is $21.00. The gallon is $59.00 for eight times the product, which works out to $7.38 per 16 oz., about 65% less. Interior wipe downs are on every single job, so this is one of the easier gallons to justify. If you buy it, pick up a 32 oz. bottle to work out of.

Directions

1. Shake well.
2. Spray onto a microfiber towel, or directly onto the surface.
3. Wipe the area down.
4. On glossy surfaces, flip to a dry side of the towel and go back over it to pull any streaks.

Pro tip: spray the towel, not the panel, anywhere near screens, glass or vents. Overspray on a windshield or a screen is more work to chase than the wipe down itself, and it gets into vent slats where a towel can't follow it.

On screens, use a clean microfiber and nothing else. No brushes, however soft the bristles are. A screen shows every fine mark, and there's no polishing one out the way you can on plastic.

If the interior is genuinely dirty rather than dusty, Cruise is the wrong first move. Deep clean it with Leather & Interior Cleaner, then come back with Cruise to finish and protect.
