Hole Shot - Pre Wash

THE DIRT COMES OFF BEFORE THE MITT GOES ON.

Going straight into a contact wash on a properly dirty vehicle is how paint gets swirled. Every bit of grit still sitting on the panel gets picked up by the mitt and dragged across the clear coat. Hole Shot is the touchless pass that removes the bulk of it first, so the wash that follows is working on a surface that's already mostly clean.

It's a non-caustic pre wash that breaks down heavy grime, mud and road film and lets you rinse it away rather than wipe it off. That's the single biggest thing you can do to avoid putting swirls into a dirty car, and it costs you a few minutes.

Safe on everything on the outside of the vehicle: paint, plastics, rubber, painted and bare metal, and aluminum and anodized parts. The formula cleans hard without the chemistry that makes a degreaser risky on trim and alloy.

There's a built-in rinse aid, so it sheets off with no film left behind and the surface is genuinely ready for soap rather than needing a second rinse.

It's also biodegradable, which matters when you're rinsing mud off a trail rig onto a driveway.

Where it earns its keep

• Off-road trucks, side-by-sides, ATVs, dirt bikes and mountain bikes
• Daily drivers that have been through rain, snow or salted roads
• Anything neglected long enough to have real road film on it
• Coated and uncoated vehicles alike

Not for every wash. This is for heavy grime, mud and neglected vehicles. A car that gets washed every week or two doesn't need it, so go straight to your soap and save this for when it's warranted.

Dilution Guide

Hole Shot is a concentrate. Dilute it 2:1, two parts water to one part product, in a foam cannon. Prices are per 16 oz. of ready-to-use product.

16 oz. or gallon? Mixing takes $14.00 of concentrate down to $4.67 an ounce-for-ounce, and the gallon takes it to $1.50, about 68% less again. In cannon fills: the 16 oz. makes one and a half 32 oz. cannons, the gallon makes twelve.

Directions

1. Dilute Hole Shot 2:1 with water in a foam cannon.
2. Rinse the vehicle to knock off the loose debris.
3. Apply evenly across the entire vehicle.
4. Let it dwell 1 to 2 minutes to break the grime down. Don't let it dry on the surface.
5. Rinse thoroughly, top to bottom.
6. Follow with your normal contact wash.

Pro tip: the dwell time is doing the work, so don't rush it, and equally don't wander off. Two minutes breaks the grime down. Letting it dry on the panel puts you back where you started with something harder to remove than what you began with.
