Wet Detailer - Drying Aid Sealant

THE RINSE WATER IS WHAT ACTIVATES IT.

Wet Detailer is a water-activated paint sealant, which is the whole trick. You spray it onto the wet car straight out of the rinse, and the water that's already sitting on the panel is what switches the sealant on. Then you dry as normal. The drying you were going to do anyway is the application.

No extra step, no extra time, and the car comes out of the wash with protection on it that wasn't there twenty minutes ago.

It dries transparent. Nothing hazes, nothing goes chalky in the panel gaps and trim, and there's no white residue to chase out of the badges afterwards. Just gloss.

Two ways to use it

• As a booster. If the car already has wax or a paint sealant on it, Wet Detailer tops it up every wash and keeps it performing between full applications. It's built to refresh a coat of Daddy-O in particular.
• On its own. With nothing underneath it, it's standalone light protection. Not a substitute for a real sealant or a coating, but a lot better than bare paint.

Safe on every exterior surface: paint, chrome, glass and wheels.

Don't skip the wheels. Hitting them with Wet Detailer while you're going round the car means brake dust has a slicker surface to sit on, and the next wheel clean takes noticeably less work. It's the cheapest thing you can do to make future you faster.

16 oz. or gallon? The gallon holds the same sealant as eight 16 oz. bottles. Eight of those would run $176. At $115 the gallon works out to $14.38 per 16 oz., about 35% less. It's a smaller gap than most of the line, so the gallon is for a shop putting it on every car that comes through rather than a saving worth chasing at home.

Directions

1. Wash the vehicle as normal.
2. Rinse.
3. While the panel is still wet, spray Wet Detailer onto the surface, one section at a time.
4. Dry the vehicle.
5. If any streaks survive, even them out with Ride Shine or Punch It.

Pro tip: work one section at a time and dry it before moving on, rather than spraying the whole car and coming back. The product wants the water still on the panel to activate against. Spray a fender and leave it while you do the roof and you've lost the thing that makes this work.
