Ride Shine - Quick Detail Spray

Ride Shine is built on true carnauba wax, and that's what you're paying for. Carnauba gives paint a warmth and depth that synthetic products don't quite reach: colors look richer, dark paint gains that wet look, and the whole panel reads deeper rather than just shinier.

It works on paint, plastics and chrome, and it reinforces the wax or sealant already on the car rather than sitting on top of it. A quick wipe down brings back the look you had the day you waxed it.

The easy-wipe formula is the other half of it. This wipes off streak free even in direct sunlight, which is genuinely unusual and makes it the one to keep in the trunk for car shows, cars and coffee, or anywhere you're detailing on asphalt in August.

Not for ceramic coated vehicles.

This matters, so it's worth being clear about. The carnauba in Ride Shine will sit over a ceramic coating and mask how it performs. The coating is still there and it isn't damaged, but you lose the slickness and the water behavior you paid for until the wax wears off.

If the car is coated, use Punch It instead. It does the same job and boosts the coating rather than covering it.

Which detail spray?

All three clean and finish. The difference is what they leave behind.

• Ride Shine: leaves carnauba. Warmth and depth on waxed or sealed cars.
• Throttle: leaves nothing. The pure wipe down, and the safe choice on ceramic coatings and matte paint.
• Punch It: leaves silica. Adds slickness and protection on coated cars.

16 oz. or gallon? The gallon holds the same product as eight 16 oz. bottles. Eight of those would run $128. At $48 the gallon works out to $6.00 per 16 oz., about 63% less. One of the better gallon buys in the line, and a detail spray is the thing you reach for most often.

Directions

1. Work on a clean, dry surface, or straight after a wash.
2. Spray one or two sprays onto a clean microfiber towel, not onto the paint.
3. Wipe one panel at a time, spreading it evenly.
4. Flip to a dry side of the towel and buff to a streak-free finish.
5. Move to fresh towels as you go.

Pro tip: use less than you think. A little goes a long way and over-application is the usual cause of streaking. If a panel is fighting you, the answer is a cleaner towel and less product, not more passes.

Two towels per panel is the habit worth building: one to spread, one to buff. Quick detailing on a dry car is where swirls get installed, so the towels matter more here than almost anywhere else.
