Beadlock Black

THE DEEPEST SHINE IN THE BEADLOCK RANGE.

Beadlock Black is the premium coating in the line, a nano-crystalline formula that leaves a deep, candy-like gloss on top of the protection. Paint under it reads wetter and darker, which is the whole point of choosing it over the rest of the range.

Underneath the look it does the usual work properly: a hard, durable layer shielding the paint from UV and weather, and a strongly hydrophobic surface so water beads and sheets off and the car takes far less effort to keep clean.

Read this before you apply it. It does not behave like other coatings.

Beadlock Black does not flash. There's no rainbow, no oil-slick effect. If you're used to Beadlock Pro and you stand there waiting for one, you'll wait through your window and make the job harder than it needs to be.

What you're watching for instead is a subtle sweating appearance on the surface as it starts to cure. That's your cue to level.

Ready to level when you see:

• A light sweating look on the panel
• A slight tack as you begin wiping, which is normal
• The coating breaking cleanly off the paint with no smearing, leaving a crisp, even finish

If it smears rather than breaking away, it isn't ready. Give it longer.

What's in the box

• One 50 ml bottle. Shine Supply increased this from 30 ml at no extra cost, so there's room to work on a larger vehicle without running short.
• A stainless steel proof of installation card, with a QR code on the back your customer can scan for maintenance guidance.
• An instruction sheet.

No applicator pad and no towels. This one is built for professional use on the assumption you already have them. If you don't, add The Pro Coat applicator pads and Edgeless Pearl coating towels to the order.

Coverage and coats

• A 50 ml bottle covers one mid to full-size vehicle with some to spare. How far it actually goes depends on the vehicle and how much your applicator soaks up.
• Up to two coats. Dry within an hour, and ready for the second layer at that point.
• Fully cured at 24 hours. Keep water off it in that window if you can. If it does get wet, dry the car rather than letting it air dry.

Prep decides everything.

A coating bonds to whatever surface you hand it, and then it seals that surface in. Iron still sitting in the paint gets locked under the coating, and the only way back out is stripping it off and starting again. On a $220 bottle, the prep is not the place to save an hour.

1. Decontaminate with Smooth Move.
2. Clay with the Shine Supply Clay Mitt and Shine Mist.
3. Polish out the defects. Whatever you leave in is sealed in.
4. Wipe down with Throw Back to strip the polishing oils, which are the most common reason a coating fails to bond.

Keeping it. A coating is harder than your paint, not immune to everything. Swirls and water spots can still happen if the wash technique is careless. Maintain it with Shift Soap, and top the slickness up with Punch It between washes.
